Ministerial Background

Richard has pastored three churches:  Blythe, California from 1968 to 1973; Bloomington, California from 1975 to 1985; along with the church he founded in the Coachella Valley, which he served from 1985 to 1998.  He has also served as Executive Pastor and interim Pastor in Thousand Palms, California from 2005 to 2007.  Richard also served as Interim Pastor at Twentynine Palms during 2013.  Richard has served the Southern California Assemblies of God Network as booth presbyter and executive presbyter.  He is the found President of the Southern California Assemblies of God Founders Fund which he served from 1998 to 2006.  As president, he assisted hundreds of people in preparing Christian wills and also brought $45 million in assets under management.

Areas of Research Interest, Writings and Teaching

Richard's D.Min. Dissertation title is, "Stimulating Church Growth through Scripturally Based Business Strategies: Targeting Churches Plateaued or Declining in Attendance."

Family and Personal Interest

Richard and his wife, Joy, have been married for 47 years.  They have a married daughter and a married son, with five grandchildren. Since 1987 he has been President of Palm Dessert Tax.  In that position he is able to assist ministers and churches in reaching their financial goals.  he enjoys applying both biblical and business principles to church growth.
