Before coming to APTS, Youjin was a member of Foreign Mission Board at Vine Baptist Church from 2005-2006. He became an Intern Cell Leader at Vine Baptist Church in Korea and joined a short-term mission trip to the Philippines in 2006-2007. He came to APTS in 2009 to study M.Div. and completed it on 2011. He also participated in different programs offered by Global Mission Center in Missionary Training Institute (MTI), Institute of Islamic Studies (IIS), and Bible Teaching at Lamut Elementary School. He also became the assistant Pastor at Dasarang Baptist Church, Baguio City while working on his M.Div.
|Areas of Research Interest, Writings and Teaching
Youjin’s teaching interests involve Ecclesiology - The prophetic movement: the tension between Sprit of order and Spirit of prophecy including socio-political conflict; The radical Reformation movement: the ecclesiastical crisis and hope from the Anabaptists’ perspective in related to the conflict between pacifism and violence; Systematic Theology - The doctrine of Christ (Christology) and the doctrine of Humanity (Anthropology) - Philosophical Theology. Currently, he teaches Systematic Theology and Church history.
|Family and Personal Interests
Youjin is married to Kyunghwa for almost 20 years. They have two daughter’s Jeewon, Jeein, and a son named Jeeon.
