Ministerial Background & Work Experiences
Prior to entering full-time ministry as a pastor in 2006, Byeongkuk's career included teaching English at some English institutes in Busan Korea. In 1996, after he was cured of an incurable disease, he dedicated himself to God and made up his mind to do whatever God wants him to do. He sensed a leading of God to prepare himself as a fulltime minister and applied APTS in 2004. Upon completing his M-Div in 2006, he came back to Haeundae Daily Church, his mother-church and started working as an assistant pastor up to 2016. After ten years' ministry, he felt the need of his further study and came back to APTS for it. He also applied for a faculty member of APTS and was accepted as an adjunct faculty by the school. Now he is doing his MTh at APTS
Areas of Research Interest
His writing interest is the works of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament focusing on the Book of Ezekeil.
Byeongkuk and Eunsil Kim have two daughters and one grand-daughter. They are preparing themselves for teaching at APTS in the future and also pastoring a Korean church in Baguio.
