Ministerial Background
Prior to joining APTS as President and faculty member, Wayne served as Area Director for the Assemblies of God World Missions for Pacific Oceania for 18 years. He has served as a cross-cultural missionary since 1970 in many nations in the Asia Pacific Region. His past experiences include training, church planting, pastoring, and education. He has served as an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God since 1967. He also serves as Director for training and Leadership Development for Asia Pacific Assemblies of God World Missions and on various boards and commissions. He currently serves as a non-resident faculty member, and as the Chancellor of APTS.

Areas of Research Interest, Writings and Teaching
The title of his D.Min Dissertation is, “Leadership Development in Asia Pacific.” His most recently published article is “Real Change Leadership in Twenty-First Century Missions Context” in the Asian Journal of Pentecostal Studies, Vol. 10, Number 1 (January 2007). He and his wife, Judy Cagle developed the Leadership Development Institute, training pastors and church leaders in the Asian context. He teaches Leadership and Management.

Family and Personal Interest
He has been an active runner for 30 years and recently completed his first ½ Marathon. He also enjoys golf and fishing as well as water sports. He speaks in various churches and conferences. He is married to Dr. Judy Cagle, and they have three grown married daughters and five grandsons.
