About Program

Designed with the layperson in mind, these programs are formed for individuals with non-ministry degrees to further train their ministerial skills enhancing their services to their churches. They may also appeal to those with an undergraduate theological background who desire a less intensive graduate program. The programs provide flexibility to pursue an individual interest.

Requirements

  • The student must meet general admission requirements.

  • The student may enter with, and must maintain, a 2.3 GPA.

  • After the completion of 18 credits, with a minimum 2.5 GPA, the student may apply to transfer to the M.A. program, provided they meet all the degree prerequisites, and have faculty approval.

  • The student may not receive any scholarship or financial aid.

  • A student who completes the Graduate Certificate Program will receive 12 credits of advanced standing in any 48 credit APTS M.A. degree.

  • Students who earn an M.A. or M.Div. degree within two years of receiving a Graduate Certificate in Ministerial and Theological Studies must surrender the graduate certificate before receiving their master’s degree.
